The farmers/ persons/ organisation working for transfer of agriculture technology in their area, who will guide / encourage to other farmers for increasing agricultural production, the organisation/ persons who are not having their own farm or land but they are working for valuable contribution in agriculture through the press or allied sector, the organisations/ persons outstanding work in agriculture allied sector for e.g. poultry, dairy, honeybee production, silk industry, organic farming, members of Agricultural Groups, etc. are honoured for outstanding work in above field. The award is started from 1984 and given to 3 farmers/ persons/ organisations every year.
